Okazaki Student Exchange
For over thirty years the Rotary Club of Newport Balboa has taken part in the annual student exchange where six kids from Newport go to Japan for a week and stay with host families from the Okazaki Rotary Club. Our club interviews the candidates as part of the selection process. We sponsor the junket to Kyoto on a bullet train and the accommodations for the weekend. Finally we co-sponsor an annual party in Newport September 30th 2012 for the six visiting kids from Okazaki Japan along with the Newport Beach kids.
